How We Navigate

Every engagement begins with a question, challenge, or decision. From there, we follow the evidence rather than force the problem into a predetermined framework.

1. |  Establish the Destination
What are we actually trying to accomplish?

Clarify the outcome, the decision that needs to be made, and what success means. This creates the reference point against which everything else is evaluated.

2. |  Determine the Current Position
Where are we — really?

Assess the current reality across the areas relevant to the problem. Separate what is assumed from what is known and establish an evidence-based view of the starting point.

3. |  Read the Signals
What is the available information telling us — and what are we not seeing?

Examine relevant customer, market, product, operational, organizational, and performance signals. Identify missing information, unanswered questions, conflicting evidence, and assumptions that require validation.

4. |  Find the Disconnects
What doesn't add up?

Look across the evidence for gaps between intent and reality — where customer behavior conflicts with expectations, strategy conflicts with operations, processes conflict with scale, or different parts of the organization are solving different versions of the problem.

5. |  Trace the Consequences
What happens next?

Connect decisions and conditions to their downstream effects. Identify dependencies, operational consequences, risks, unintended impacts, and patterns likely to fail as complexity or scale increases.

6. |  Evaluate the Possible Courses
Given what we now understand, what options are actually viable?

Develop and evaluate potential paths forward against the organization's goals, constraints, evidence, tradeoffs, and ability to execute.

7. |  Choose the Course
What should we do next — and why?

Translate the analysis into a clear recommendation grounded in evidence, organizational reality, and the consequences of each choice.

Let's find the right course
